  Nice and quiet, very rustic although could do with more attention to detail... (Clean toilets regularly)

  Was ok. No grass site for caravan. Only one toilet open as was not busy.

  We've visited this park twice, I think, but will never visit there again! The rudeness of the female half of the proceedings was inexcusable and I've never been spoken to in such a way by anyone before in all my 73 years!! We arrived at the office and my husband went to book in etc. He said the office was closed and I asked him if there was a phone number we were supposed to use and he said he couldn't see one. Apparently there was one but he wasn't wearing his glasses and couldn't see it. We decided to find a spot and and then go back to the office and try again. We drove round and found a powered site and I was just seeing my husband reversing back into it when a woman came up to me and snapped, "You can't park there, you can't park there!" I thought she was a somewhat unhinged resident of the park! I had no idea who she was as she did not introduce herself so I asked if she was something to do with this... and waved my arm round to encompass the caravan site. She answered me but I was so taken aback by her general attitude that I don't even remember what she said. I explained what we'd done and that we would go straight back to the office and then she started....It could be someone else's site, you can't just drive round and indiscriminately pick your own site, we don't allow people to drive round and pick their own site etc etc etc, repeating herself over and over. I tried to explain that if we had parked in the wrong spot we would move immediately but that wasn't enough and she went off again repeating everything in a very snappy way which was totally uncalled for. I will admit that we were guilty of human error but that was all!!! We are pensioners just looking for a couple of nights away, we are nice people, we would move immediately.....I wasted my breath!! All she needed was a studded collar and a lead!! Then the "other half" arrived and he started repeating all that she had said. I gave up and flapped my arms about saying alright, alright. Having a decent command of the English language I managed to understand her first comment and all the repetitions were totally unnecessary! We could stay one night and then the park would be full as a club of caravanners were arriving! No thank you and NEVER again will we go there!! I've never ever been snapped at in such a manner by anyone before but I kept my cool throughout the tirade and stayed pleasant and I still wonder how I managed that!! Her attitude was disgusting and not how you should treat possible paying customers! We drove away and went a little further on to Jubilee Lake Caravan Park at Daylesford where we were assisted in a charming way by a lovely lady who was happy to help. We've been there a number of times and will continue to go there and it has way more to offer than Maldon Caravan Park!! It is also set out in a way that makes it impossible to go wrong as you drive directly into the car park and then walk round to the office. Far superior!!
